Phil Austin was one of only six American artists to be invited to China and one fo only three to paint for the Chinese Muesum of Art. Phil was famous for his articulate use of only six pigments. His still lifes are well known landmarks like 'Royal Street in New Orleans''Devils Stand Table','Jackson Square in New Orleans', 'The Grain Elevators at Tuscola" to name a few. This piece is an orginal of a lone Oak in a field. It is a one of a kind and no prints were ever made as this was a gift to some people that have passed and there is no one to pass it on too. Phil was also a professor of art in the education syste in the Chicago area and taught throughout the midwest.
Avoid scams by dealing locally
or paying with Paypal, try also
using your credit card as the
option to pay. This way if
Paypal does not or cannot help
you with a dispute, you can
always bypass them and call your
credit card company up directly.
Never use Western Union,
Moneygram or any other anonymous
service to send a payment, the
seller does not always have to
show ID when they pick up the
funds. And if you just realized
you have been scammed, the last
thing you want is not to be able
to identify the person who took
your money.
Don't buy or sell outside of
your country. Most scammers are
usually not in the same country
as you for a good reason. But
the best reason is that they far
away from you, and there's not
much you can do about it.
LiveSimon is never involved in
any transaction, and does not
handle payments, shipping,
guarantee transactions, provide
escrow services, or offer "buyer
protection" or "seller
certification".
Your best defense against fraud
and scams is your knowledge. If
it sounds too good to be true,
it probably is.
Never accept a payment from
someone who is willing to send
you more than what you are
asking for, especially when they
want you to send them the
change.
